- Usage analytics: page views, feature usage, and session data collected via PostHog.
- Advertising data: Google Ads click identifiers (GCLID) for conversion tracking.
- Device information: browser type, operating system, and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Pet recovery: to scan public online sources for potential matches using AI photo recognition and text analysis.
- Notifications: to send you email and SMS alerts when a potential match is found.
- Payment processing: to complete your purchase via Stripe.
- Service improvement: to analyze usage patterns and improve the platform.
- Customer support: to respond to your inquiries.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:
- Google (Gemini AI, Maps): pet photos and location data are sent to Google APIs for visual matching and geocoding.
- Stripe: payment information for transaction processing.
- Firebase (Google Cloud): case data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
- Apify: used to collect publicly available posts from social media groups and forums.
- Browserbase: used for automated browsing of public pet recovery databases.
- PostHog: anonymized usage analytics.
- Twilio / Resend: for delivering SMS and email notifications.
4. Data from Public Sources
Petgraphy scans publicly available online content — including public Facebook groups, Craigslist, Reddit, shelter websites, and pet recovery databases — to find potential matches for your lost pet. We collect and temporarily store post text, images, and metadata from these public sources solely for the purpose of matching. This data is not used for any other purpose.
5. Distribution of Your Pet Listing
To maximize the chances of recovering your pet, information you provide — including pet photos, description, and last known location — may be shared across social media groups, community forums, and partner networks relevant to your area. By using the Service, you consent to this distribution. You may request removal of your listing at any time by contacting us.
6. Data Retention
- Active case data (pet info, photos, matches) is retained while your case is open.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
- Scraped public posts are retained temporarily for matching purposes and are periodically purged.
- Analytics data is retained in accordance with PostHog's data retention policies.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure cloud storage (Google Cloud / Firebase), and secure payment processing (Stripe PCI compliance). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of marketing communications.
